It's that time of the year again when we start to realise its WINTER and Christmas is only just under 8 weeks away. Once we've finished trick & treating it's time to think about old Guy Fawkes & lighting the sparklers & setting fire to the guy, apologies if you're not British as this is an eccentric British tradition celebrating the fact that parliament was once nearly blown to smithereens!
However WINTER is an exciting time for fashion & at Wheeliechix-Chic we have pulled out all the stops for our customers offering them 10% off their next order until December 20th, if shopping is the female orgasm then cheque books and credit cards at the ready, this is a little bit of "ME" time before the Christmas rush.
Pencil skirts v Skating
Lets just start by saying Skating skirts are a BIG NO, NO for wheeliechix, far too short, far too bulky & whilst I'm not saying us Wheeliechix don't have fab legs I'd rather not show the whole world my designer knickers with every gust of wind November throws at me.
PENCIL skirts on the other hand are much more sexy they completely accentuate our female form, as wheeliechix we should be proud of our curves as lets face it WE ALWAYS get attention, OH BOY does everyone and his dog look & stare at us, heads will turn with a pencil skirt. As the pencil skirt sits snugly to the knee a lot of leg is hidden, but the pencil has been known to feel a bit stiff & tight at the waist, not good when you're sitting all day, but at Wheeliechix-Chic we've brought the pencil skirt forward to 2007 with soft waist bands & elasticated panels (shhushh it's a secret) and sexy shapes with front zips, in one tug those skirts are off the naughty secretary look has gone crazy see our skirts Midnight & Shell.
This season's MUST HAVE The Trench Coat/Jacket (see VIOLA) The Trench suits ALL body types (phew what a relief!) We played safe & chose seductive, yet classic black for coat Viola it defines any waist, has a full frontal zip, with zips on cuffs you can turn them back to avoid mud on the cuff from dirty autumn/winter wheels & the trench sits neatly within the parameter of your chair.
You can wear our Viola Trench over chic suits MIDNIGHT & AUDREY, party dresses such Loren, Ingrid & Grace or over a basic dress with bright opagues, heels and a French beret, jazz it up with bright leather gloves all very Marlene Dietrich, with Viola it's classic feminine charm means you'll be wearing it season after season.
The A-line coat/Jacket see IRIS & LAGUNA this shape is great for curvy bods or boyish figures, but avoid if you are very short. Big collars and buttons define this season's A-line, a warm snugly wool mix is not only practical, but ultra stylish, see Laguna Jacket's big buttons & subtle oriental print on grey wool & Iris coat with opulent faux fur on collar & cuffs again with cuff zips to avoid mucky fur, wear with slim line trousers such as LANCOME and AUDREY or a pencil skirt SHELL or MIDNIGHT. This style also looks sophisticated with dresses such as LOREN and GRACE , keep it simple & you're onto a winter winner.
Lets not get too carried away, we've only just got rid of Halloween, the fireworks are still smouldering & although Christmas is on our mind we still need to think about the bare essentials, the wardrobe "must haves" The little black dress immediately springs to mind Maya in its luxurious soft jersey fabric and drawstring sides that make it a universal fit for any body size, rouche it up short with leggings and boots or keep it longer and funk it up with this seasons bright opagues & patterned tights, accessorise to the HILT with chunky chains and earrings.
If blacks not your thing then how about this season's sultry grey, in soft jersey with detailed ivory buttons Kora dress is just the ticket, this dress will take you from grocery shopping, taking the kids to school or an after work drink with a bit of lippy.
Lipgloss is OUT the full pout is in, lots of deep reds & pinks, the look is sexy diva glamour, eyes are dramatic with lashings of mascara, just think of Hollywood 50's sex kittens such as Sophie Loren, Brigitte Bardot and the sophistication of Grace Kelly & Audrey Hepburn and you've got the perfect winter look!
Whatever your look it's a fabulous season for fashion, colour & the feel good factor, have a great November & try not to stress too much about December.
Best wishes,
